The New Five Collective, a collaboration among five Portland-area artists: MJ Connors Davison, Robin Lieberman, Patricia Homan Lynch, Jannebeth Röell and Jenny Siegel. Like Hilma af Klint and her early 20th century group, The Five, The New Five Collective are five women artists working together and devoted to bridging spirit and matter. They create in various media through the color realms, celebrating life and collectively holding hope for all living beings. They strive to be directed by their own inner guidance. The Collective’s 2020 exhibit at the Art Hall flows out of their current collaboration influenced by exercises crafted by Laura Summer of Free Columbia, a sister also on the journey who greatly inspires them in her never-ending pursuit of understanding through painting.
