Jannebeth Röell received a set of colored inks from her parents on her 9th birthday. She put them aside for awhile, hardly believing her luck to receive them. Once engaged, color had a powerful attraction for Jannebeth, and proved to be a theme she has carried throughout her life. While she studied the effects and use of colored light therapy as a healing art, her work with light, darkness and color in painting would only get its start later in life when she attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. The works exhibited on these pages chronicles some of the artistic interests she has pursued over the years.
