In 2006, Jannebeth Röell and three friends (Patricia Lynch, Cheri Munske, and Donna Patterson) began an weekly trip to Sauvie Island to interpret its nature through the seasons of the year. Tuesdays, they got up before dawn, rain or shine, and drove together out to their chosen spot before sunrise.  Season after season they brought their experiences to artistic expression, mostly in watercolor. Their field work was often recreated, transformed or refined in the studio afterwards. The art on these pages are Jannebeth’s interpretations through 2012.
