I can’t believe it. After years of sketching and painting landscapes on Sauvie Island, I caught the attention of a local farmer who thought I might be nicking some of his delicious corn in the field. He was appreciative of the sketch of his barn and I decided to give it to him. Later, after a few friendly conversations at their stand, I received a call to exhibit some of my work at the Grange Hall. I have prepared 12 watercolor paintings of the place because I like them. I have been trying for a breakthrough in style and am persistently chugging ahead with this goal. These watercolors are representative of the work I have done the past two years.
